Chinese Datura
(Datura ferox) Info
This Venus-ruled baneful
herb is basically the Chinese version of Jimsonweed and
so participates in Venus's Earth aspect. Its flowers
are slightly smaller than jimsonweed's
and usually have a lavender tint to the edges. The spines on the top of the pod are much larger
than those on the bottom, almost the length of the pod itself.
This is the most spiny of the family. A recent botany text identified
this with D. quercifolia. © 2004, 2014
