Hawklord Incense
"Thou! The Hawk-headed Lord of Silence and of Strength, Thy nemmes shrouds the night blue sky.
Thou! Crowned with Ra's Face, the Solar Disk
Thou! Thy blazing crown empowered with the Emerald Uraeus.
Thou! The Heart of the World girt with a Serpent
Thou! the God enthroned upon Ra's seat lightening the girders of the Soul."
- Sam Webster, Tantric Thelema (from Liber AL vel Legis and Liber Tzaddi)
This incense was inspired by personal experiences following deep ritual work. In trance many years ago, Anthony Teth received a vision of Ra-Horakhty* embodied as a totemic symbol - a radiant Red-Tailed buzzard poised in flight above a jagged cliff, which eventually soared down to perch upon a Sun-disc between the horns of a golden Hathor statue** uncovered from the sand.
Hawklord is thus an incense dedicated to cosmic thoughtforms reflected and deified in the natural world around us all, and to the fierce, luminous intensity of the Sun in all its glory.
Frankincense, Juniper, Rosemary and Calamus give this incense its invigorating brew, with highlights of lemon, sweet orange, and bergamot bestowing more lift to its wings. A bright, purifying incense ideal for magical rites of a solar nature -- sanctifying temples, offerings to solar deities, heart nexus work, or for searing blasts of energy to help shatter obstacles along the adept's path. Release the inner fire. AUM HA.
Hawklord Incense is ritually handcrafted using natural botanical ingredients. It does not contain dyes, chemical extenders, fragrance oils, accelerants, fillers, or synthetic materials of any kind. However, it will require a source of heat, like a charcoal tablet, to release its scent. Click here for tips about working with loose incense.
(*Referred to in many books as the 'Elder Horus'. This name denotes the fusion of the deities Ra and Horus which occurred very early on in Egyptian history, hearkening to primeval forms of both. Interestingly, it is a version of this name that Thelemites use to describe and invoke the 'Crowned and Conquering Child' of the Nu Aeon, Ra-Hoor-Khuit.)
(**One of the words regularly changed to "Hathor" during Egyptian translations of the Goddess' name literally means 'the house of Horus', which further solidifies her status as an ancient sky deity.)
